If you have ever seen the movie, Kill the Messenger, you may remember that famous line, “Some stories are too true to tell,” a statement uttered by a DC operative when confronted with evidence of the Iran Contra conspiracy. The circumstances surrounding that statement are not as important as the reality it reveals.
We all have stories. We have stories about our pasts. We have stories we half-tell, stories we never tell. We even have forgotten stories. Good or bad—these stories are the scripts by which we live our lives.
